OverCOMe Stress, hosted by the Communication Department, is an event for Cal Poly Pomona students to help them deal with the daily stresses of college life.

The day will feature two informational speakers. A representative from Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) will discuss the mental aspects of stress, how it affects students and how they can avoid it. A representative from the Wellness Center will discuss ways for students to deal with and control stress.

After lunch, several workshops and demonstrations will be offered on various methods of stress relief through exercise such as yoga, Zumba, salsa dancing and boot camp. We hope attendees will leave the event feeling relaxed with a new perspective to help them OverCOMe Stress!

OverCOMe Stress is planned, organized and executed by students of the Special Events Planning class under the direction of faculty advisor Dr. Vinita Dhingra.
